Solar PV · battery · export

Solar that pays you back — in years, not decades.

A typical 4kW system saves a UK household about £450 a year off-bill, plus another £100–£250 from the Smart Export Guarantee. Pair it with a battery and you stop paying peak-rate electricity altogether. We'll size the system, find a vetted installer, and show you exactly when it pays back.

Why solar, why now

Three reasons the maths finally works.

Panel prices have collapsed

A typical 4kW system costs ~40% less than it did in 2019. Inverter and battery costs have followed.

Export pays real money

The Smart Export Guarantee turned exported electricity from a giveaway into a 15p/kWh income stream.

0% VAT until March 2027

Solar PV, batteries, and most retrofit measures are zero-rated. That alone is worth ~£600 on a 4kW install.

Two ways to pay

Buy outright, or pay nothing upfront.

Both are fine. The trade-off is just whether you want the lower lifetime cost (cash) or the immediate cashflow win (financed).

Buy outright

Pay once, own forever

Highest lifetime saving. You own the system, the export income, and any future battery upgrades outright.

0% VAT until March 2027. Most cash buyers add the battery at install — retro-fitting later costs ~30% more.
Pay monthly

No money down · cashflow positive

A typical 10-year loan at current rates leaves you cash-positive from month one — your bill saving covers the repayment.

The kit

A system, not just panels.

A solar install is four things working together — generation, conversion, storage, and export. We spec each one for your roof, your usage shape, and your budget. No upselling.

Tier-1 panels

JinkoSolar, REC, or Trina 425–435W mono-crystalline panels. 25-year product warranty, 30-year performance warranty.

Hybrid inverter

GivEnergy, Solis, or SolarEdge. Hybrid means it talks to a battery from day one — no expensive replacement later.

LFP battery (optional)

5–10kWh lithium iron phosphate. Cycles cheap off-peak power, rides through outages, exports at peak.

Smart export meter

Octopus, E.ON Next, or British Gas SEG tariff. Your installer registers you — payments start within 8 weeks.

Plan includes

Every install on our network ships with the same checklist.

You shouldn't have to ask "is that included?" three times. Here's what is — every time, every installer.

Roof survey & structural check

In-person or drone — your installer signs off load-bearing capacity before you commit.

DNO notification or G98/G99 application

Filed by the installer with your distribution network operator. No paperwork from you.

MCS certificate at handover

Required for SEG, EPC uplift, and any future grant-funded retrofit work.

SEG tariff registration

Your installer signs you up to one of the 14 SEG tariffs — we'll show you which pays most.

Monitoring app

Per-panel generation, battery state-of-charge, and SEG export — visible in your phone.

6-year workmanship guarantee

On top of the 25-year manufacturer panel warranty — covers labour for any defect.

How it actually goes

From "interested" to "switched on" in about six weeks.

Every step has someone responsible — and you don't hold the pen on any of the paperwork.

01
Day 1–2

Survey & design

You share your roof, postcode, and last 12 months of bills. We model output and shade in 24 hours.

02
Week 1

Three installer quotes

We introduce you to three MCS-certified installers in your area. They quote against the same spec.

03
Week 2–4

Pick & schedule

You pick on price, lead time, or rapport. The installer files the DNO application and orders kit.

04
Week 5–6

Install & commission

Most 4kW systems are scaffolded and live in 1–2 days. SEG registration starts the same week.

Our installer network

Vetted, accredited, and accountable.

We don't install. We introduce you to people who do — and we keep them honest. Every installer on the network is MCS-certified, TrustMark-registered, and reviewed against the same checklist below. We re-vet annually.
